The sixteenth series of Who Do You Think You Are? will finish this week, with its final episode tracing Mark Wright’s family tree.

Mark – a TV presenter and former star of reality show The Only Way Is Essex – begins by unravelling the colourful life of his 2x great grandfather, who is rumoured to have fled to America to become a horse trader.

He then travels to Spain to trace his family tree further back – and discovers he’s descended from Spanish Jews who were persecuted by the Inquisition for their faith.

The episode will be broadcast at 9pm on Wednesday 11 September on BBC One.

It follows another successful series of Who Do You Think You Are?, starring celebrities including Kate Winslet, Daniel Radcliffe, and Jack Whitehall and his father Michael.

Mark Wright’s wife, Our Girl star Michelle Keegan, also starred on Who Do You Think You Are? last year, where she discovered her 2x great grandmother was a suffragette from Manchester.
